Megan graduated from her BSc in Sport and Exercise Sciences at the University of Limerick, Ireland. During her undergraduate studies she worked in the university gym and was involved with various teams in a Strength and Conditioning capacity. This work as a coach coupled with her own experience as an athlete highlighted her love of injury rehabilitation and prevention.
Shortly after graduating Megan moved to Sheffield to begin her MSc in Physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallam University. She completed 4 placement blocks during the course: Neurology and Stroke Rehabilitation Pathway (Inpatient, outpatient and community), Paediatrics (0-18yo) Musculoskeletal and Neurology (Outpatient and community/school visits), Community Integrated Care Team: A mix of Musculoskeletal (Fractures, hospital discharges for elective/emergency surgery, falls), respiratory and neurology and Dragons PRO14 Rugby.
After graduating with distinction from Sheffield in Jan 2019, Megan started a full-time physiotherapist position with The Dragons in Wales, gaining experience in assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, injury prevention and athlete monitoring in a professional sporting environment. She has completed her Pre-Hospital Immediate Care in Sport Level 3 course which is accredited by the RFU and is competent in pitchside care.

Megan also works within our First Contact Service for the NHS providing triage and advice for patients within 15 minute appointments.
