Blue began her career in healthcare 15 years ago at the age of 18. This was followed by six years working with spinal injuries and successful completion of training to become a physiotherapist, graduating from Huddersfield University. Blue has worked with various disabilities and found a love for wheelchair rugby along the way which further enhanced her holistic approach. She had the privilege of travelling both nationally and internationally with wheelchair rugby, including refereeing on a voluntary basis, as well as being a current role for Yorkshire Lions wheelchair rugby team.
Blue has worked within first contact physiotherapy in extended access for the NHS and has a diverse experience with the NHS on placement, including neurological, respiratory and specialist areas such as burns and plastics and the spinal injuries unit. Blue also supports post-surgical patients at Park Hill Hospital to further enhance her practice development within all stages of rehab.
In addition, Blue has recently qualified in acupuncture and vaccine training to deliver Covid vaccinations. Her specialist interest is in chronic pain and the psychological aspect of rehabilitation; and post-surgery rehabilitation.
Blue’s passion for physiotherapy and her desire to constantly strive for best practice and personal development, give her the skill set and holistic approach that is fundamental to optimal patient care.
Blue is available in Doncaster at our Thorne Road Clinic on Thursday afternoons.
